Originally formed as a Piano Quartet in 2011, the Millbrooks began their journey exploring the ‘milestones’ of Piano and Strings repertoire, delighting audiences with their exuberant interpretations.
Alongside the core works, they strive to champion works by lesser known composers with varied combinations of instruments and voices. This has lead the Millbrooks to evolve into a diverse collective of twelve highly renowned musicians.
As each musician is an acclaimed player/singer in their own right, the breadth of performing experience within the Millbrooks is remarkable. With regular appearances at UK and International concert/recital halls (RFH, Wigmore Hall), Operatic stages (Bolshoi, ROH, ENO) plus many recordings and appearances on BBC Radio 3, their members draw on wide ranging and varied solo and orchestral careers.
Infectious enthusiasm and dynamic communication are the hallmarks best used to describe the Millbrooks’ music making. Equally at home on prestigious stages, intimate venues or leading community projects they are committed to bringing high calibre performances to audiences.
